Derrick Johnson
Derrick is a healthcare analytics consultant with the Milwaukee office of Milliman.
Experience
Derrick's area of expertise is healthcare information and reporting systems. He has assisted many organizations, including HMOs, insurance companies, Medicaid health plans, state agencies, and healthcare providers.
Derrick implements healthcare data warehousing systems, including Milliman's MedInsight data warehouse, and designs data analysis and performance measurement systems for clients. He has experience working with a variety of data sources, including health plan data, pharmaceutical data, managed care encounter data, custom data warehousing development, and extensive health experience analysis.
Prior to joining Milliman, Derrick spent more than 10 years in the healthcare industry working with a variety of payers and employers. In this role, Derrick implemented several data warehousing systems and business intelligence solutions. Derrick was responsible for managing the logical/physical design, development, security, and implementation of a data warehouse to support thousands of on-demand and burst employer reports for large health plans.
Derrick also has independent consulting experience working with individual and small to large group healthcare companies and their products, including long-term care.
