Brian Tax
Brian Tax is a software engineering manager overseeing multidisciplinary development teams, including developers and QA, within Milliman’s Employee Benefits Practice. As a full-stack developer and system architect in the Microsoft ecosystem, Brian drives technical strategy and implementation for health and welfare outsourcing solutions. His work spans from end-to-end software development to hands-on leadership in project architecture, ensuring scalable and efficient application design for both internal and client-facing systems. Brian joined the firm in 2000.
Experience
Brian has been in application development since 1997, building expertise in modern software development, architecture, and engineering management. His experience covers the full development lifecycle, from architecting secure, HIPAA-compliant data solutions to deploying transactional web applications for benefits enrollment. He has led the design and implementation of complex Windows-based and cloud applications, leveraging the latest frameworks, tools, and best practices.
